Mk6/7 escort 'ghia x'
Evening guys and girls. New to the site and hoping for some info.
Just aquired a mk 6/7 escort on fleabay for the princely sum of £250.
Its had a bit of a prang and was just wondering whether the front wings are bolt on or welded? Not picked it up yet, so have not had a look.
Also, will the doors from an estate fit a hatchback?
And last but not least, how much of a ballache are the front lower wishbones to replace on them?
Thanks in advance

Thanks for all the replies guys.
Will try to beat the wings out rather than replace them then. My welding is appauling!
I will be chucking it in for another MOT aswell, is there anything on these that are common failures other than wishbones?
Thanks

Well,
turned out the chassis is bent and the subframe has snapped, so picked up an N reg LX for £130 and am transferring all the leather and bits across. Bit of a shitter, but hey ho!!
