Id keep the VRS personally, i would of thought it would be much 'user-friendly' (if you know what i mean) to drive everyday than an old sierra

have had both, sadly the sierra is geting realy old and can only be grief alot of the time, went and looked at a 3dr a month ago but was showing its age a bit, probably i wont ever get another cossie but have to say its still my fav car.. the s3 is good but in standard form is not so good, needs this, that and the next thing but with the right mods... map, chassis work, etc will be a very good mota... choice is yours.......

if you have deep pockets and its a car you have always wanted then go for the saff.

Dont buy the first on you see, go and have a look at a few first. Just like with all cars though service history and prove of work thats been carried out are very important, you don't want to buy a car thats been poorly looked after in the past as all the neglect will soon appear.

its a 1.8 20v turbo, its just done over 82k miles, ive just had it remapped, forge diverter valve, miltex exhaust and sports cat, slightly lowered, grooved brakes all round and its got 18inch alloys that come on the new ones, ive also just put abrandnew dvd player in it as the standard radios are crap, ithink you get alot of car for the money to be honest

I dont get why people wont trust a cossie for long journeys yet will thrash them round a track??? long journeys on a motorway are the easiest miles a car will ever do

If a cossie is well maintained and not bodged then theres no reason whatsoever that it cant be capable of daily use. You just have to accept that really short journeys and stop start traffic does accelerate wear. Sure a 6 paddle clutch on a highly modified car might not be so friendly

Your insane, swapping that for an old sierra

Thats my opinion but i get that you'd like an old shonkey taxi to replace a solid reliable quick ish newer car

Theres no sarcasm there, honestly

Now that is a taxi.......

Personally a saph is even hard work on weekends only. Ive done 81 miles in mine today (which is more than half my annual mileage last year lol) and I'm knacker'd....

I don't see a cossie being unreliable if it's been maintained properly. I've had my 4x4 saph a good while now and tbh the only things that have let go have been wear and tear related or me abusing it!

My saph has been running 450bhp for just under a year now, gets used loads and always gets the arse ragged off it and never misses a beat! The bottom end is a little bit tired now so could do with a rebuild but it has done 120k miles!

So my opinion is get a nice stage 3 cossie with the right bits and upgrades and you won't go far wrong!

Have to agree with that and disagree with the haters. I did 60 miles in mine last weekend and it was a very comfortable trouble free ride as you'd expect and hope and it was a lovely drive. My daily driver is a focus ST with a dreamscience map and eibach springs but despite the age the drive in the cosworth was very nice and it was enjoyable. I've done longer distances than that in complete comfort and with reliability

Mine is a stage 3 on a t34 and it's 2 wheel drive with low mileage so it can be done

If you really wanted one,you would just go out and do it,not ask strangers on a public forum,so the answer is no,

I took mine out of hibernation on saturday, taxed it, fuelled it up and away!
Good to drive after being off road for winter.
Tempted to sell it and go for an escos but i know i wont get a good saff again without the torture of looking at the shite!

Quick Reply: do i get a cossie?
