Default Short Shift \ Quick Shift question ?

Mechnaically iam good at some stuff and useless at others and this is one of them. Are short shift and quick shift the same thing ? and are they just the linkage from the gearbox to the gearstick ?. I've got an ERST LSD gearbox and the gears are stiff and sloppy, would one of these help ?

Also can anyone estimate prices for these ?

Cheers
John

Short Shift and Quick Shift are essentially the same thing. The ERST B&M Shifter is replaces the internals in the Shift mechanism and is very good. It's made better by replacing the shift rod from Ford, which when I bought mine was around £30. I pity anyone that wants a B&M nowadays though, they are close to £300 now.

There are other cheaper kits and cue all the B&M haters telling you that the £50 Rally Design kit is just as good.

The B&M totally transforms the shift-feel and I'm gutted that I can't get one for my MTX gearbox.

Something was mentioned the other day about using a Puma linkage as a replacement. Might be worth looking into aswell
