Hi guys what would you by for a daily driver with a budget upto £2500, needs to be fairly economical and reasonably interesting? cheers

Isnt that a contradiction
Ive just picked up a deeezoil Vectra, bland and boring to drive, half decent spec and most importantly it does 40mpg on the daily commute.
I also have a bike for the days I wish to arrive at work smiling

an early sportka if you want interesting and fun to drive, yet reliable etc.

sure a golf tdi may be ok, german reliability but they are pretty bland to be fair.

Depends also on kind of daily driving? steady motorway?? cross town, cross country??

Well i drive a 1.9 306 diesel, most basic you can get so anything considered really

As I said earlier the Golf you will not be disappointed quick car for what it is.
Very good on the diesel. Reliable, German build quality
Come in 3dr or 5dr
