I thought all mk2 XR's came with a sunroof. Remember seeing one years ago, but it turned out to be a rep.

prity sure they all came with sunroof as far as a no.Had a few xr2 in my time!! it may have been a opition to get 1 with out a sunroof?A know for sure that the mk1 xr2 you could get with or without a sunroof!!!never been reshelled at any point??? hope this helps mate

muni is money . my mate has just brought a mk2 xr2 1 owner from new with no sunroof its all genuine for £150 jus needs bit off welding ill get some pics up tomz

i had one a few years ago came from guernsey it was a silver xr2 without a sunroof and was genuine

just check the boot floor mate and you,ll see if its a genuine xr2 or not .

Exactly as said above.
Some XR2's did not have sunroof's. A standard 13" Pepperpot will be able to fit into the boot of a proper XR2. Basic Mk2's Fiesta's could only fit steel wheels.

The XR2 boot floor has a bulge right behind the O/S rear passenger seat.

Sunroofs were optional on the early Mk2's. My mate has a genuine XR2 with no sunroof, C reg.

I've got a later XR2 with a sunroof, F reg, explains my rotten sills

yeah the boots got the extra room for the biger spare wheel the biger bulge lol his sills are rotten too i gota replace the inner and outer on it for him fingers crossed it will be done for ford fair and me bros fiesta xr2 mk1 should i hope

you got sunroof,pepperpots, elec windows and the boot release as options but the chances of finding one with the windows from the factory is very slim,ive only saw 2 and the chances of finding one is very slim.hope this helps,
by the way if you can get away with not taking the kit off for welding i would leave it as you will be doing more than the sills

I had an F plater with no roof window and boot release.

How horrible were the wheel-trim option cant believe people had them, shocking.

the windows were an option right through from 1984 to 1989. g reg mk2,s r rare as rocking horse shit and im sure they were only registered in the low twentys if i mind correct and the majority of them were mercury grey,if anyone out there reading this has one in need of resto/tlc and for sale i would like too hear from them...

I got told that whites were in single figures, and G plates were in low double figures, but at that time it was pre internet so it was a case of taking peoples word for it as research was a bastard in the olden days
