Space Framing isn't allowed, I think it was a Skyline that someone built for TA and that was spaceframed, just in a way that was allowed to compete in the normal classes, Andys car is a kit car in their eyes which tbh is fair.

Simons car iirc does runs what looks like front tubs which I thought wasn't allowed but I am sure its been built to bend the rulebook, nothing wrong with that as ANY motorsport team would do the same.

What would the reason be for enforcing the no space framing rule??

BTW not a dig at any car, more at the Time Attack administration.
IIRC the specific difference that was most relevant was to do with the suspension mounting points being part of the shell not part of the spaceframe.

Because its for modified production road cars not kitcars.

Anyone know anything about the yellow evo that got smashed? I was in the paddock when it got towed back in and *though I might have misheard* sure the driver said something like "felt like he hit me at 70" or something? Was there a bit of paint getting swapped?

Well done Andy and sorry to hear you had issues too. My rear diff ripped itself from the mounts when just going around fairly slowly during the first session.....end of the day for me. Felt AWESOME through the bends though.......roll on round 2!

Cheers

it was good to get in with some big power cars but proper race is better and better to watch a couple of cars battling over a place!

Respect for using the car for what it was built to do, you must do more track days and races with your demo car than anyone else.

Thanks Yappstar a LOT of effort has gone into the bloody thing!

Jacko - Im not even sure right now but it is between 1000Hp and 1100Hp at FULL boost (3 bar) only use 1.8-1.9 bar on track though which will be about 850Hp. The rear diff mounts broke beacue they were done very badly by a certain company, no other reason.

Cool sounds good Andrew, I love wheel to wheel stuff too but wouldn't risk the green car doing that. If I crashed it I would be suicidal! If im honest I was/am seriously considering not going to Knockhill, if I went all that way and it was Oulton take 2 I would be pretty hacked off. Im sure my mind will change over the next week or so though.

Whats your PB round there in the focus?

Cheers

Si

Was at kh today watching the focus's superb cars and very very fast! respect to Mr Gallacher, was disapointed not to see the DJM fiesta running evo engine ect, he was having boost issues and didnt want to risk the engine 600bhp, Seriously thinking on trying my hand in this class with the 106 when its back,we'll see!

Good to hear that (obviously about the handling, not the diff mount), really hope it comes together for you this year. The cars certainly got the minerals! Any 1/4 times so far?

But looking at your performances in Scottish saloon, your car is so much better than other competitors, it seems you walk every race. I would imagine you would start getting bored of this series also.

Is there actually a race series that exists where you would get properly challenged?
