They are built really really badly. We had one as pool car for a while and it was fucked after 15K. Quite fun and surprisingly fast (Porkie can testify to that after a 'spirited' drive following him to Brunters a few years ago) but a P-plate at £1.5K seems way over priced to me!

Discs and pads are waaaaay to expensive too! i remember ordering them for a mate through my local motor factors and even they were shocked! something like £70 a disc including trade discount i think!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
hehe i had one of these mark 1s on a v reg....
looked ok, hardly any room inside tho, head was tickling the roof.., parts were expensive, had new discs and pads up front, cost nearly 300 quid... new petrol cap was 25 quid..
the window switches didnt fit properly in the door cutout, kept popping out.
mine had done nearly 90k and the guy i sold it on to, has had to do new rear wheel bearings, there about 90 quid each, the clutch has gone and the master cylinder has gone aswell...
glad i got rid...
and the thing i didnt like that really pissed me off was putting fuel in, no matter what garage i went to the angle of the filler hole meant the petrol nozzle lever kept clicking off all the time, had to try and keep turnin it...did my head in that....
