my dad has a mk2 mondeo (1998) and the central locking is playing up. it immediately unlocks itself when you try and lock it. doesnt matter if you use the key remotely or directly the same thing happens. any ideas on what might be the problem?

one of the locks is probably sticky. go round the whole car with some lubrication and work each door lock manually several times

 

I had them same trouble on my mk3 mondeo turned out to be the boot lock was fooked just fitted a new boot lock button and it all works fine
