How do i fetch it out, only the reason im asking is because it just boosted to 13-14 psi and its standard... what actually happened was the boost controller top fell of last night and this is the first time i put my foot down in 4th, and it held at ten psi after dropping down to 6psi, but boosted at 13-14psi. Im getting the -31 fitted tomorow and would like to know?

 

take the ecu off from behind the heater blower and just take the back off

 

As above, take it off the bracket and take it apart

std boost cut is 10psi, so i'd defo say it was chipped

should able tell really as there aint that much go in a standard turbo, just unplug ecu and take 4 screws out back, and see what the long chip says on it.

 

well theres go in this one! LOL. I knew no background on it when i bought the engine, and recently the actuators fucked, so its sitting at 6psi. I had the boost controller right out, and the top fell off. Now im boosting at 10-13psi in 4th, and it drops down to 6psi. I think, i hope the ecus chipped, because i fuckin flew.!

The top of the boost controller isnt there anymore!! Also, without the boost controller, at all, period, i got no boost. It is the actuator, hence why i got a -31. Im getting it fitted and set up tommorow, without the boost controller.. thats why i wanted to know whether its chipped to set it up that little bit higher.

 

No point rasing the boost if you haven't got the fueling to increase with it - be aware...

 

i have a performance 250bhp+ fuel pump??

A fuel pump will only provide the fueling that the metering head allows

i.e it still needs to be adjusted...

 

well more on the matter, it must of been my eyes, because i think the ecus not chipped, because it wont budge over 10 psi now.. LOL... but we will see today
