4x4 sump and a distributor mated to the front cam cover wrong throttle body (for the 24v anyway).

Interesting any ideas how much the bloke wanted for it?

I have seen a single turbo convertion on a 24v, it was alot bigger than that one lol

That turbo would do fuck all, you need a T4 size if a single.

there is a 24v 3door mk2 seirra with one, cheap eastern T4 copy and it goes very well.

I realy wonder what it came out of, due to the dizzy, me don't think it worked lol

The 24v works very very well with a little boost, They just do not like reving, you can chuck 8 to 10 psi into them standard and they will hit 300 bhp and about 350 torque well worth a budget sierra.

I have seen a couple built with downdraught webbers on and one tripple twin throttle body setup and both conversions seem to go incredibly well, never seen any power figures though so don't know whether it would be worth the hard work.

That sort of torque would be ideal for a tow car really.

I was discussing doing one for a mk2 granada with a 4 barrel holly and either putting a dizzy in the engine or running a megajolt

Ideal mate, you have to have some power for your repair vehicle don't you.

The granada idea sounds good too but surely the way to go is megajolt when you compare it to the adjustability of a dizy.

I know the 24v very very well, The best budget way is to get you self a cheap easten europe T4 copy make your self a fanny mould, sort a 7th injector.

if you keep the boost to 8 psi you will have no issues.

The most expsive thing will be the fanny mould

It does go well but not as well as the claimed power and torque figures suggest that it would.

except of the turbo tec 24v, that car was or is the best 24v I have seen or shit my self in.

Dan the stardard ECU cannot sort out boost, after 3500 rpm you are running megga lean with boost. or mega squirt it.

you don't want to spend megga money on it.

you could go good ecu, twin turbo's, low comp cossie pistons, H rods. about 500 bhp

but you will still hit the wall with rev's

no point

just take as a cheap 300 bhp

You more than likely do mate its a totaly mint white over grey GLSi 4x4 on multi spokes, he has still got it but with different wheels on it now.

I used to have a lot to do with fitz, went down to see him just after he wrote the sierra off and came out of hospital.
My name's Shaun by the way n my dad Geoff.

Yes I think I know the car. You cannot do much with N/A 24v engines mate. BOB cam's help but due to not fuck all revs no point.

chuck some boost in, they come to life

if you want to go N/A, you can get the pistons and rods from cosworth and you will need some throttle bodys and a dry sump to hold the shit block together and you will make 280 to 300 bhp. which will cost you about 6k with ecu.

you can make that with about 2k if you boost it.

nope
not even got round to sorting the brakes out for it yet

i drove it up and down a bit to get used to it running and ran it up a bit to keep teh battery going, but then it split the return pipe on teh passenger side and it's a bastard to get to as it looks like the rack is in the way and i've sort of given up till the weather was going to get better

and now it isn't and i've got another cr in the garage so it's going to have to wait a bit longer
