Hi does anyone know if the floor pan of the mk3 and mk4 is different? I need to get some parts but mk3 floor pans parts are hard to come by, and wanted to know if i can use parts from a mk4

from what i can remember there are some things on the mk4 shell that are slightly different to the mk3 but its basically the same

different shaped bumpers (rounder on the mk4) is the main difference as far as i know and the dash i think is different as well

Well, put it this way a mk 3.5 fiesta carpet will not fit a mk 3 so there must be differences between the Mk3 and 4.

Im no expert from what i understand the main differences are reinforcements to the front cross member area, forsafety and handling perposes...

There is a guy on here that has fitted a mk5 floor pan on his mk 3.5 (ill try and find the thread, makes a good read!)

Like i say, im no expert, but thats my understanding!

i have read on the net that the only real difference is the skins on the body.im not sure how true this is bit to me it looks to be true.the mk3 exhaust shape looks identical to my mk4 exhaust.
