Had my wisdom teeth out yest - ouch -NEW UPDATE :(
Yup had my op at the hospital yesterday to remove 2 bottom wisdom teeth and 1 at the top. The other one isn't through the gum yet so they left it. The bottom 2 were both growing in sideways against the back teeth
When i came round from the anasthetic it felt awful They stick a tube down your throat to help you breath and i guess that's why i've got the worst sore throat ever now
When i woke this morning it felt all good until i actually got up and it's pretty damn sore. My jaw is now like buzz lightyear too and proper swollen
Wish me luck on my soup/yoghurt/fruit diet
To anyone who has had this done under a local...you're fucking mad!

Chop - i had mine out in the autumn last year. Hurts like a cooont for days - sometimes they dislocate your jaw to get better access to the "area". Well they did with mine anyway!
Live on weetabix for a few days fella, and keep taking all the pills you can. I was off work for nearly a week.

I had mine out over 10 years ago.... one of the top ones were removed by the dentist and I had to go to the dental hospital in Leeds for the two bottom ones taken out. Like you, I had one that hadn't shown through, but the xrays show clearly that I have a floating tooth and its so far up in my jaw that it will never come out....
I was put to sleep for the bottom two taking out and when I woke up, I had a bit of headache.... to which I was told that my headache was the least of my worries once the pain killers wore off. About 4 hours later and back at home all I had was a minimal dull ache. Never had any real pain with them.

just be aware of if your in extreme pain ( i was ) you might have a dry socket ( i got one)
and ended up going to A&E to see a surgeon at 4am in the morning, they had to remove my stitches and pack it up etc, its where the blood clot dislodges and really frigging hurts

When my mum had her wisdom teeth out when i was a little girl, she had all four out, when she came round and came home, she had bruises all down her chest where they had been kneeling on her for leverage to get them out!!

Im asking about getting mine done at the end of the month. Keep getting jaw ache now. I know it has to come out as its growing forwards instead of upwards. I noticed my two front teeth have moved slightly too.
Not looking forward to getting it out tho and there is no WAY a dentist is doing that shit to me while Im awake!

I had all 4 of mine taken out under a local because I'm shit scared of generals My bro in law is an anaesthetist [try saying that 3 times in a row with your swollen gob ] and the stories he's told me has put me off for life!!
To be fair to the studen that did mine, she butchered the fuck out me and admitted defeat and got the consultant to take over, I was actually just laughing most of the way through
Seriously though, when you look at how much swelling you get from them ripping them out... think how much of a pounding you'd have to get from someone's fists to get the same damage

It really wasn't that bad mate to be fair. It's a bit weird hearing the teeth squeak and crack in your gob... but I really am petrified of generals so it wasn't really an option
Just the one sunshine. Just the one.

I could always come along for support if you do want it done

I'd advise you don't get it done whilst awake, one of the most painful things I've ever had done and screwed me up for over a week. I only had one out too so I'll have to go back at some point but I won't be as keen to have them out as I was last time LOL

Gonna hold my hand and watch me dribble for england with the numbing
Cheeky.
But I already said to my dentist that there is no way he is doing it to me whilst I am conscious. not a chance in hell.

I made the very stupid mistake after being told that one of them was a bit fooked to just have it now whilst I have an hour lunchbreak little did I know the pain I would in after !
Ofcourse the next best pain I've had is what I did to myself on saturday when having a hungover shower, but thats another story

Whilst having (or I should say struggling to have) a shower I had the power shower on the most powerful settting with the smallest jets (no idea why) Anyway somehow I knocked the showerhead off the holder and rather than switch it off I picked it up and stumbled and sprayed it straight in my eye (don't you just hate it when that happens ) I have to say having water sprayed in your eye at what feels like 10,000 psi is kind of painful and the result was a rather red and yellow eyeball and a bit of a black eye
Possibly not as painful as the wisdom tooth but on a pain level it was certainly a 9/10, it just didn't last for much more than a few mins lol bruisng has gone down now but my eye is still red/yellow
