Heat from the exhaust mate - cooks starters. Get one of the asbestos starter heatshields from Ford. Had exactly the same problem, the shield solved it.

But I put a new starter motor on 2nite. It started fine 1st. Half hour after I tried starting it then it made the clicking noise and wouldn't start?

It very much sounds like the starter has been cooked by the heat from the exhaust mate. Put a shield on, the starter is protected from the heat and the car will start every time.

I doubt 30mins of heat will kill the starter.

Is your battery ok?

did you just turn it on off on off on off and then leave it 30 mins, just thinking your battery may be a bit low if it you didnt give it any time to recharge when you had it running?

sounds like the battery to me. make sure u drop test it to be sure. otherwise its your earth or wiring! i bought a heatshield for the same reason, except mine wouldnt even click. but the problem still occured intermittently hot or cold! did you use a genuine starter? spurious ones cant always handle the heat!

thats just the voltage reading! ( which is low anyway ) have u actually drop tested it? by drop testing, your putting a load onto the battery, and you can see if it maintains the voltage or not. lucas or bosch starter?
