Belt tensioners on Escort
Both pulleys on tensioners on my Escos are very noisy so while turbo is off I thought about changing them, but I found out you can not buy the pulleys from Ford and whole tensioner is 100Ł a piece and must be ordered. Also I found out that no other car on the planet has the same pulleys or no company like SKF makes them. What do you do when they fail?? Probaly drilling out the rivets and looking for the bearing itself is an option. Isn't it?

Pulleys do use up on most cars I know so it's strange nobody had this problem :-/
I ha also fucked alternator bearing - it was in fact so fucked that rear part of altewrators casing needed changing. Can this be from heat of the turbo?

I keep them in stock at £35.
The pulleys are best replaced with verniers, but im surprised you have worn the std steel pulleys

I think I didn't get understood (as usuall) I mean the tensioner pulleys for alternator/steering pump and air con. Not the cambelt pulley. I changed this for new one of course when changing cambelts. But that one is cheap compared to those I need.
