Nissan S14 gearbox failure? Updated another one bites the dust!!
I broke my gearbox last week, just took it apart today.
Any one seen one break like this?

Yes, I have seen it on a 200SX. Only once though and with around the same power as you. Generally those gearboxes are OK for 350ATW, but I guess it's down to fatigue or something.
This particular guy was into racing stuff and drag-launches. I got the impression from talking to him that he had an 'interesting' driving style.

Maybe I should bolt on a Tractor-spec T5 box.

I took the second broken S14 'box apart at the weekend and found one of the gears had half its teeth stripped off, which gear is this? 2nd? 3rd?
