Default hi visibilty seat belts

this is being talked about at the moment. the idea is that they can be seen to be on much easier by law enforcement agencies.

Not too sure about it. I don't think it'll make much of a difference. People can either choose to wear one or not, the colour of it won't make a different. I still can't get over some people not wearing seatbelts

Another shit idea from the rulers of the nanny state. People need to learn that they take responsibility for themselves.

It will.

You will get caught more often or more easily, you will pay more fines, and you will learn they are fitted to every car and are law to wear for a reason

Sorry, rant over. Pet hate of mine.

Most ADR (hazardous goods) converted trucks have red seatbelts for exactly this reason.

Our truck firm fine drivers caught without seatbelts following the death of one our drivers 10 years ago when he went out the windscreen

And before anyone asks, yes I do speed, yes I do drive fast blah blah. Just think of all rules / laws, the seatbelt is the one of the easiest to follow, abide by and understand.

I'm for it, but then I'm not a tart so the colour of my belt makes no odds to me.

A Hi Viz belt won't stand out if you wear a Hi Viz Vest or jacket whilst driving.

Just the same as if you had a ear painted on the back of a mobile phone by the person that did the rocker cover in another thread.

Its already has been brought in with some large commercial vehicle operaters mainly likes of fuel tankers and some supermarkets have them usually in red so theyu stand out over a yellow hi viz vest or usual black or navy coloured uniforms !!!

can't believe people wont wear seatbelts. Yes on a small number of incidents it may be worse to have but it is a very small percentage.

And when you think of some of the injuries caused by the sealtbelt, how bad would it have been without with that level of force !!
