Well both those statements, the fact that I know more than him, and the fact that what he said was stupid, are both true, so I can understand why you might read it that way, but as Ive already mentioned, I was using it to show him not to take what I was saying seriously.

Well lets stop talking about dyno's and have a poll on politics and interpretation intead, as lets face it, thats all this forum seems to be about lately.
I was hoping for a good old fashioned topic like we used to have, with some fairly in depth technical information and maybe even a good bit of banter as bonus, but since PF became an oppressively PC marketing machine for pushing unwanted adverts onto the people who pay to support the site, it doesnt seem to be allowed

I will tell you why we don't have so many anymore, and its nothing to do with advertising Chip, its more to do with the fact that if people dare to ask a question, even a perfectly good one like this chap just did, people like you will call them names and ridicule them in public to try and make yourself look good. Feel free to make that poll if you like, maybe it will prove to you what you seem so intent on denying.

Bear in mind this isnt coming from someone who dislikes you, I actually class you as a friend but at times I read what you say to people on here and cringe. Whilst I would like to believe you didnt mean it in a condescending manner, Im afraid that sadly I dont.

Manners cost nothing Chip and you cannot educate people whilst ridiculing them so if you cant reply in a civilised manner, don't reply at all because its getting beyond a joke.

Anyone who wants to should be able to contribute, but if they say something stupid, it should be pointed out that its incorrect so that people reading the thread dont pick up mis-information, and IMHO if it can be pointed out in a humourous manner with a bit of banter, all the better.

Ive learnt lots from teachers over the years who have taken the piss, yourself included as it happens.

the "expert" part came from the fact that in my perception, only people with your apparent wealth on knowledge can comment without you taking a shot at them.

saying that someones comments are retarded, even though they have got the basic theory correct, but just missed one of the key eliments, hardly constitutes as a humourous manner, with a bit of banter, imo
