If it's 1.9 DCI get rid of it as fast as you can especially if it's 2003 /2004
Or if he really wants to keep it and it is DCI, check whether the intercooler is clear of oil from when the last Turbo went. (front bumper off to get to it)
And also check the EGR valve to see if it's clogged with oil
and check if the turbo oil feed pipe is the later modded type, (the reason the old turbo went was oil starvation)

hi its a 2.2 dci 54 reg, wears the EGR valve ? would the intercooler cause all the oil coming out the b/box ? the oil feed pipe is a 13mm banjo one ?

DCI are so good (bad) they have their own thread on Parkers;

The exhaust oil is what got trapped when the turbo went.
EGR connects the exhaust and inlet manifolds at the rear right of the engine.
You'll have to strip out some of the plastic bits to see it.
It's held in by 3 bolts and is about 40mm diameter with a connector with 2 wires into the end.
