Seeing as i started the thread i'd better answer lol, i've still got mine although the engine's in bits, i did for a very short amount of time think of selling or breaking but i've decided to keep it now.

Lol, cheers mate, i dont think i could bring myself to break it anyway, and i'd lose too much by selling it so i've decided its time for more power instead lol.
No pictures of a completed resto but I am of the ilk that all Cosworths should be saved unless they give up their tattered existence to save another one.
My saff was rotten enough that many of you would have broken it and sent the shell to the bin. Considering it is the only road going LHD saff in North America I had to save it.
Maybe living over here I see all these crazy numbers matching Chevy's and classic Fords that come up at Barrett Jackson or in the hot rod shows and figure Cosworths are worth preserving for when they are 50 years old and become very collectible. I dunno...
But yes, save a Saff unless it is too far gone and then it should save another Cossie.
number 4 piston has melted slightly, although i have yet to take her apart to have a looky
Mmm, i can see your dilemma, not worth much without a working engine, and if you fix it, you wont get back the money you've spent so breaking it is the next option, its kind of the situation i was in recently.
I wish i had saved mine, needed a few k spent on the rot issues but tbh it seems like it would have been worth it now but at the time being my daily driver and rotting away didnt seem like it was doing me much good so it went to the breakers and i bought a golf VR6. The golf never even partly filled the void the saph left so i have this majorly sad thing in my house to remind me of it lol
Heres my saph which i have owned for two years, i bought it without all the running gear and engine, unfortuntly i bought an engine off of here and found out it had a cracked block. I have nearly finished building a new engine and then i can hopefully drive it for the first time in the new year. Bought some 18" team dynamic wheels off a chap on here which are waiting to go on and a few body reapirs and she will be good to go. I cant wait.
