Anything to look for, other than the usual stuff? Any common 'odd' faults. It's a 1.4 CL with about 80k on it.
Has a full history, and seems to be in quite nice shape. So, any advice? Taking my trolley jack and stuff

Small point, but can be a painful one, check the electric windows, I am sure the CL has them, the mechanisms are crap!
Not expensive to sort, but a pain in the arse if the window is stuck down when it's chucking it down! Mk3 Golf are the same too! Crap!

My sister has one and it's been absolutely faultless while she's had it.
Clocks can play up and you lose tacho and get warning lights come up with no actual fault. Closk swap sorts it
