who uses bd10s?

my cossie has bd10s in them what advantages do they have i know in one of my previous engine i had bd10s and they were shit.

are they used for more torque or bhp or both?
its std head btw

i thought standard were just as good as a bd10 as these have shit mid range torque curve?and you gain little at the top end over the standard cams?
