problems with the M5 already

My 400bhp saph is deffo quicker above 100!
On the other hand I was shocked when I got back in the cossie, its a lot harder work to get the same performance but thats some of the fun i guess, but the cossie is deffo more charming and just far simpler to drive.
The Cossie has Analogue power and the M5 Digital-thats how different they are!

a good reason for having a ford is that there british not german.i love old school cars and mainly ford because theres are a lot more fun to work with.yes ok you may have to often not out of choice but hey look after them and theyll last you a life time.As for the statment of there being loads of bmws on the road not totally true you look down most streets and southend and youll see ford after ford love it.but must say the e21 and e30 are lovely cars. I think bmw have got the whole family 4x4 seen right the x5 is very nice and comfortable nice roar.10 out of 10

Pete, I dont blame you mate. Im rapidly losing interest in building this one I got in Jacko's. I very nearly stuck a bid on that blue M5 I linked the other day. It wont be long before I end up with something else I think.

Theres a one in Stanley in a garage, I went to see it well before Xmas just for a nose about after hours. Its a crap example but we could go test drive it and both have a go at kicking its head in

I was a old "mini" girl, but I met James and he converted me to Fords, which I now love but now I have been in the M5, I am thinking about changing again!!! Perhaps I should combine and get the bmw mini!!!
The bmw has made my James sooooo happy, I actually get to spend some time with him, he hasnt got his head under the cossie bonnet. Dont get me wrong, I loved the cossie and I am really sad to be stripping its guts out but the heated seats in the M% sell it for me.
I still have my mini's though for when I convert James to the classic mini!!!

you wouldnt like a new mini
old minis are the way to go
never been in a M5 but my e39 B10 wil do 165mph & on a steady run at 90mph will avarage 30mpg
alpinas also have cheap tax on the new ones lol new B5 supercharged V8 207mph out of the box £185 tax for the year lol

PassionFord Post Whore!!
i really dont like these posts
makes me wanna drive down and buy the m5 jay has for sale
what are the like for sevicing and general upkeep?as it all good and well being able to afford to buy the car its then running it that would worry me lol.
what does it cost to replace all 4 tyres, brake discs and pads for example?would you hav any change 1500quid?
as i think driving them hard will take its toll on these with it being a big heavy car and its the only thing really putting me off.

245-40-18 Front and 275-35-18 rears IIRC.
Brake disc's are expensive as I replaced all 4 of mine, but tyre wear is EXCELLENT!.
Why? because BMW chassis geometry is correct under load so it spreads the tyre wear across the whole tyre, unlike a Ford Cosworth.
Servicing is the same as any 5 series, no special procedures. Oil services are miles apart and there is little else to worry about once you have a pair of K&N's in the airbox.
