I think i missed the point then, fella. I think I've got it now tho. I thought the feature was saying that up until recently, there were a load of S1's sat unregistered, along with the Sierra & Escort Cossies. But having looked at the pics closer, the S1 pics are back in May '86, with the Cossie ones from the 90's. My bad. I thought all the pics were taken at the same time only a few years back & that the cars were all sat there together unregistered.

I see what you mean now...unless you have the VIN's then you aren't gona know which cars they are. Wouldn't the garage have copies/ info on which cars they had? Might be worth a try if someone local popped in for a chat.

As Baz said..can you get back issues of Rally News?? I take it that they aren't just gonna print enough for the members & no more?

From when the board shut-down / crashed twice. Pet & the others restored loads of people's post count and usernames & passwords, etc (hours worth of work to get it back up & running..well done everyone), but mine never got done, so I had to re-register and start from 0 twice to build it back up. Not that bothered..just didn't want people to think I was a noob each time..and loads of people started referring to their old username/post count so people recognised who they were.

pmsl mate yea everyone had a nick name but i just went for my name,

i wanted a pf jacket but didnt want barry evans on it as it would look fooking sad so i got my name changed to rs baz.

p.s i still never orderd the jacket

Well almost 2 years after stopping the guy that had the K reg S2 to find out about it and giving him my number incase he wanted to sell, i got a phone call 2day.

So Guess What.

I went and bought it, Im now the owner of a K reg S2

One thing I will say: and this is nothing against the car or questioning its genuinty at all, just an observation....RAC site always has these cars as Escort RS Turbo...not Escort RS 1600. Weird....
Maybe it was because the RS2000 was out this plate, and they changed it to be similar style: Escort RS 2000....Escort RS 1600, possibly

Im pretty sure its just been Registered later than it should have been.

Im Gonna Clean it up, I buy and sell alot of cars but ill prob keep it just for keepsake.

I just like things that are different and im sure it will confuse a few people. Im not too fussed what reason its on a K reg, the fact it is is enough for me lol

Nice one - the JSA bit is an Aberdeen registration. Since Arnold Clark took over Harpers and Cordiners, I don't know if they would have any records of it. Of course it could have come from any of the other Ford dealers in the area as well.

My J reg XR4i three door and B reg XR4i with a Sapphire front end and late back end, along with your K plate RS Turbo should confuse a few folk.
Mind you, that does depend on me ever finishing either/both of mine!

i had an old boy come in to day for some bits for hes rs2000 and got chatting with him only to find out hes has a s2 12,000 from new in hes garage guess what i gave him my number just in case he wanted to sell it
