Default is having 3 cars too much?

my wife is going mad as a couple of her friends have remarked about my cars.she acts like hyacinth bucket at times worrying more about what people think over my happiness.
in my collection i have a mint stage 3 2wd sapph(garaged all the time).a very tidy mk1 orion ghia injection which is an everday car and a presentable mk6 escort td estate for taking the dogs to the beach, shopping, picking up things, towing etc,its so handy i couldnt sell it.she has a new bmw 120d m sport company car so we have a car for every occasion.i think 3 is enough and when i have saved a bit im going to sell the orion to buy an rs1600i.is 3 too much?my 3 are all bought and paid for and the orion and escort are taxed and mot'ed so its not like they are lying about rusting away.

if you can afford it and have a use for all of them then i cant see the problem, and as long as your not having extra cars and compromising on other more important things.

3 cars is a lot, if your a woman. Tell her you'll get rid of one of the cars, if she gets rid of 90% of her shoes.

Seems fair to me. They only have one pair of feet, and 300 shoes.

The shoes, fake hair, nails, handbags etc etc etc is a point i have made already, she thinks i should grow up,im 30,i dont hang about at mcdonalds with any of my cars, they are for my enjoyment and she doesnt want for anything (within reason) so theres no problem as far as i can see except what 'other people think'.thats what really annoys me,other folk think you drive an old piece of shit, maybe in their eyes, but id rather drive an old car not because i have to but because i want to,most of the folk that say stuff like that own cars will be on finance anyway.

Its only because they aren't interested in cars.... my work mates used to have a dig at me when we had more than 3..... they don't understand..... quite frankly I can't understand why someone would want to stand in a kitchen every weekend baking buns and cakes.... each to their own...

Tell her to stop whining or you'll go and buy something that'll really give her something to moan about.

Cheers fella...just gotta sort out the drive way and get the garage tiled and powered up next Got a unemployed yolkel to clear the area Ł350 inc two skips, builders did the base that was 8" steel reinforced @ Ł1950 then the 18'6x18'3 garage with a 14' door came to Ł3056

Yes your right regarding planning as its a tempory construction, but best to just double check with your local council first as some may have funny little rules in place.

I've got 4 at the moment

54reg Mondeo TDCi 130 Ghia X and 56reg Vectra 1.8 are the daily runners which get alternated.

L reg Volvo 460 is to pull my trailer.

P reg Rover 600 is the car I did use to pull my trailer before the MoT ran out and will be going back on the road next months when the Volvo runs out of MoT/I eventually get round to doing the work on it.
