focus rs bodykit
hi, i know theres loads of body panel companies out there who deal in non-genuine items, which are exactly the same as genuine ones but cheaper. so is it possible to get focus rs quarters and bumpers etc etc from non-genuine sources to save money. i want to turn my focus into an rs replica without paying 375 quid a quarter from ford.
anyone got some ideas upon this? brad.

There are a few companies out there who sell "replica" FRS parts & they can mainly be found trading on ebay
There's a good reason why they are dirt cheap though & its because they are shite fibreglass or gel replicas that don't fit, are generally badly moulded and made & need bodging to fit
There's a lad on the RSOC with a FRS replica, the shell of which was built using the "replica" rear & front arches & he's already commented in a number of threads that his alloys/tyres rub on just 3/4 lock on the front & the rears rub when there is any load in the rear or going over speedhumps & that is on standard ride height suspension, and thats all because the "replica" items have been made from piss poor moulds
The saving you'll make on buying the shitty replica's will soon vanish once you've spent £££ adapting them & bodging them to fit at which point you could probably have spent the £££ sourcing new ones or sourcing the relevant parts off an FRS being broken for parts, etc
