Talking oh dear (this involves the police)

is there any reason why i cannot park a vehicle that is taxed and insured on the public highway if it is in a safe position?

thought so, the police have just been knocking on the door to ask me to move the van

and the car

and the spare van i have at work just in case of such an emergency

and if you hadn't guessed yet, yes, it's the skip saga all over again that's come to the boil now

the neighbour asked me on the 5th of march if i had a problem with a skip being in the driveway for the weekend, no problem at all, and he reassured me that it would be gone by the 9th so i could park my car back into the garden again
the 9th came and went
and so did the skip
until he said it would now be gone on the 12th
the 12th came and went as well
it will deffiintialy be gone on the 16th
i called the skip man to make sure and he said that it was nothing to do with him and he would come when the builder asked him to take it away
it's now the 17th and, despite assurances that it would be gone by 6 today, it was still there
so i called the skip guy to make sure he was coming and he basicly told me to fuck off (his number is on the board if you want to have some fun )
so i parked the van in front of it

and you could say that it's been an exciting last 90 minutes

ok, got to go, police man wants to have a word, i shall keep you updated

Sounds like you were good enough to let him put it there in the 1st place, order some gravel and fill his skip up for him

I am, and it's certainly more interesting/amusing than plenty of other posts in GD.

The 'ooh, it's Dojj, let's slag him off' posts are getting properly boring now.

Every post i open from dojj i except a drama of somesort. Most amusing to say the least and my life does seem very boring as nothing happens to me like that.

Is this the builder who gave you a quote ? He may be pissed if you refused and winding you up by leaving it possibly.

Good luck

So basically, you and your neighbour have tied the police up for 90 minutes over a bloody skip that means you have to park on the road. I think the pair of you should both be cautioned for wasting police time. I wonder if there is anything more valuable these coppers could be doing?

they called the police after i parked in front of the skip for about 5 minutes
the police were there for about 40 minutes before i returned to the scene of the crime
they then did not speak to me for a while
they then asked me if i would move the van
i refused as i said i had nowhere else to park it
he then said he would have no option but to clamp and tow the van
not a problem
then he went and asked the neighbour if they would once again, reconsider moving their car so i could park the van there

eventually her car was parked where i put the van, and the van has ended up where her car was parked

and peace reigned once more

i have also since learned that the old man arrived with some "hoodlums"
my mum arrived all fire and brimstone
my mrs was opening mocking the lady next door while the police were chastising her for wasting their time
the bloke next door dissapeared when the police arrived on the scene
some randoms turned up (we think they were reinforcements drafted in by the women neighbour)

bottom line is that the coppers shook my hand and said that they were sorry, and i said that i was sorry for wasting their valuable time when they hsould be out catching scrotes rather than dealing with stupidness such as this

and the skip should be departing by 10.30 tomorrow

my only argument has been over the fact that the womans car, having nowhere to bearth, was taking up my space where i normally park the van and, as a reslut, causing me an incconvenience, where she should have rightly found someplace else to park her motor while her garden was undergoing redevelopment

her husband was scolded by my wife for shouting "oi you, come here and move this" at me as i walked past (i told him i was too busy to be wasting my time talking to him as it was obviuos his wife wore the trousers in that relationship) and looked like he was back at school being told off for wearing the wrong type of uniform

there is SO much more i culd write a book about this, but i shall bore you no longer as i have started to ramble a bit

i still dont get how theyve put a skip on your parking space so they still have their place to park?
is it owned by you or a bay in residents area really for general use? what difference did you parking in front of the skip make to them?

Silly bitch..i'm surprised the police came at all as its a civil issue unless anything is parked dangerously or is restricting a right of way, i had some parking issues a while ago at my old house, neighbour was a cunt and threatened me etc etc, suffice to say I won, and happily stood there and blew him a kiss every time I saw him park afterwards....

the mondeo is parked at either spot as marked on the drawing
the rest are the normal parking locations for the other motors
but ever since the sip has arived, she can't park her motor where it's normally parked and i can't park the mondeo where it's normally parked
because she's left her car where i normally park the mondeo out on the road
the builder's parked his car where i normally park the van
so i've got nowhere to leave my motors
so her car was parked outside my gaff, the builders was parked where i normally park the van, so i slotted it in front of the skip as the neighbours number 2 car is away for a ew days and the mondeo was left there
when i moved the van, i put the mondeo where the van normally lives
a put the van back where it was (she'd moved her car for about 2 seconds)
and then i got another van to park up where the neighbours car normally lives where it's here

which is where the festivities started

plod has said that she needs to find somewhere else to park her car as it is her car that is causing an hindrance to the other peole who's cars are parked in the locations

he said that common sense should have prevailed before she called the police and that they would not attend again unless it was to arrest her for either wasting their time or someone reported her for blocking the road and got her car towed away
