Default Computer tech question.......

Ok im crap with computers and need a bit of help with an annoying problem please. I have 2 printers set up, and every time i go to print something out, the settings are all over the place. 95% of the time i need it on 'plain paper', 'text only' and 'portrait'. Every page i print i have to go into the settings and change it manually because its on bloody landscape, photo bastard paper, and best bloody photo, and its annoying me. There must be a way of storing the settings but ive looked for ages and cant work out how to do it.

Anyone help me on this please. Cheers.

Control Panel
Printers and faxes
Right Click on the printer and select Printing Preferences
Select your default settings on both tabs and in Advanced, and these should be stored for future use.

the application always overrides the print settings so check whatever it is youre printing form isnt set up wonky.

if thats not it then you havent set up the defaults properly so double check. remember there are 2 places to set defaults, PRINTING PREFERENCES and PRINTING DEFAULTS

As jimbob says...

Also depending on the printer, there may be some settings stored on the printer itself.
