Hi all,

we have a dell pc which can with works installed, however when someone sent us an email we were unable to open teh attachments as we did not have word or excel. We just paid £99.99 for a microsoft student pack, which has word and excel, however we still cannot open the attachments. Our vista asks what program we want to use and when we click Microsoft word, it brings up a blank word screen.

Someone said i needed a converter for 2003 > if so can someone post the right link to use and there are so many on the site i just dont know what one we need.

 

What version of Word do you have ie 2003, 2007? The attachments you have been sent, what is the file extension, doc or docx, xls or xlsx?
