Buy a copy of AnyDVD and watch them on your computer

You'll find it difficult to get hold of a Multi Region one, but most can be unlocked which allows them to work on region locked DVDs.

No.

Region coding is just restricting DVD's from different countries. Region 1 USA/CDA, Region 2 Europe.

Region 0 not coded playable on anything.

I got a Sony multiregion off amazon for £60 last year. It was in the Sony shop for £120 and there was restricted to Region 2.

Copy discs, depends on the format it was recorded on Eg: mp4, mpeg, WMA etc.
and also what discs it was burned on. CDR, DVD,DVDR,DVDRW etc etc. as to whether the player will play it.

discs are reagion coded for distribution rights, so you can't watch a film that's not on dvd here (like taken) but has only just been released in the states

but nowadays you can only play some discs on dedicated region 1 players and not "chipped" ones according to the blurb

there is also the pal and nstc versions of discs which aren;t cmpatiable with different telly's to watch out for

Dojj how much shite can you spout in a day

Firstly Taken has been released here in the UK on dvd for the past few weeks and the movie has been out worldwide since last year.

Most dvd players are multi regional compatible and if its locked to a specific region then its just a case of looking for the remote hack or firmware to flash your player online.

Even the user reviews on Amazon for dvd players will tell you how to multi region your dvd player.

And the PAL/NTSC thing was an issue 5+ years ago but these days you will find tv and dvd players will play ntsc or pal without an issues whatsoever.

richer sounds have the Philips DVP3120 for £24.95, then this link for a hack to enable it to become multi-region http://www.avforums.com/forums/dvd-p...any-ideas.html, or Richer sounds have a Samsung DVDHD870 for £39.95 that is already multi-region
