Default Lambda Sensor help

Just wondering if the lambda sensor will get damaged where the blanking plug is in the picture below?

The tuner said it will destroy it being so close to the turbo?

Yeah i thought that as the standard one is in the middle of the turbo.

According to the people who make these sensors, it will shorten the life of them being so close, how much by they don't say.

Thats the same location as i have mine fitted, but its only done about 500 mile since it was fitted so no idea how long it will last.
