I`ve been trying to sign in to messenger for the last couple of days and it keeps refusing to sign me in, coming up with an error. I can sign in to other accounts, but just won`t let me sign in to mine. Anyone know what i might of done? Tried loads of things but no luck....

Your password is more than likely wrong.

It'd help if you could give us the error code.

 

Is the date on your PC correct?

 

Checked the password and its not that. The error code is showing: 8100030d

Just read at the bottom of that link about AVG, if my AVG 7.5 is out of date will that stop me signing in? Just trying to get the update file but for AVG 8.0 but not letting me get that either...

 

it happend to me for a few days...msn is a cunt for a while..it'll start working eventually by itself

 

I can`t understand it tho, i can sign into any other account, but just not mine.

Just downloaded new AVG 8.0 and still sod all...

 

i know its bit stupid really how hotmail doesnt let you login to a specific email address..the same thing will happen on any other pc you try

 

Try disabling avg and then try it. A freind of mine had all sorts of trouble with avg.

If it works then uninstall avg and install avast, which is a MUCH better antivirus program imo

 

I just managed to sign in on my phone, and a laptop, but just this pc...

Tried switching it off, no difference at all...

Starting to annoy me now...

 

Can you get on other MSN accounts on the same pc as your having issues with?

If you can get on other MSN accounts then it's related to your sign in credentials.

If not cut your losses and remove MSN from the PC and then reinstall the latest version.

 

Yes, i can sign into other msn messenger accounts on this computer, but not mine. But saying that, i can log in to mine on other computers...?

On the sign in page, i`ve clicked `tools`, `options`, then clicked connection, then did a connection test and has given me another error code... (80072eff)

Anyone know what this code means?

I`m just about ready to give up i think...

 

this happened to me few weeks back , i ended up using that second chance thing , resetting your computer to a date when it was working . its in the accessories list .

Just tried this, set it to a week ago, said it could not restore, so tried last friday and still can`t restore...

 

Given up now i think, just registered a new email address and swap the contacts over...
