Do modern colours look wrong on older fords?
my white 3 door is due a respray. I was thinking of keeping it white but going for the new generation of whites like you see on new audi's, bmw's, lambo's and the like...what do you think?

I kinda agree, but if you are using colours that are similar i thinkit looks good, ie, whites, greys, blacks etc not purples, oranges and stuff

It's all in the colour temperature! Rightly, white is white. However, pure white is pretty hard to produce in paint, so you have to choose an approximation. Lower colour temperatures produce a warmer/redder shade (creamy), higher colour temperatures are bluer.

That's my thought as well. Go for say a whiter white for example, but stay with the 'base' colours Ford intended.

you want a white body that looks white in the snow. back in the day, my m8 had a rs turbo in white and a fiat in white pulled up next to him, made the rs turbo look yellow.
i think audi's new white is the way to go

If i was going white, i would use straight mixing white with no tints - easy to match and the purest.

Porsche Riviera Blue
or...
DBS Silver

It's your choice but you'll deffinately lower the value of your car by re-spraying it in a non genuine colour.
If you're keeping it forever or don't mind taking a knock come sale time then go for it.
I for one (and I'm sure many others will say this) would not even consider buying a non original colour 3 door cosworth.

There are about 40 shades of just diamond white alone.
White is white, but if your chossing a colour or even more importantly if your matching then white is not white!
