Default EBC Turbo Groove Discs

I am going to be looking to getting new discs soon, I know I don’t have a ford anymore but are there any discs that I should stay clear of or any recommendations!

What are the EBC Turbo Groove Discs like?

Or these

EBC / ULTIMAX SLOTTED DISCS? They are quite cheap too!

Cheers for any help!

Never had an issue with their discs, used them a couple of times. The Greenstuff pads are utter pap though

What pads would you recomend, my brakes get very hot under hard breaking which has caused the disc to warp and got tiny little hairline cracks in the middle!

What other brake pads are there that are good too?

Will the yellow stuff wear down in no time though?

I'd stay away from EBC for discs and pads. I have been racing on the generic discs that you see everywhere (loads on Ebay) for about £120 for all four - drilled, grooved, etc. They work really well. And Ferodo DS2500 pads or DS3000 for track work seem to be about the best.

EBC are the biggest pile of shit I know of in terms of discs. I'd use non-genuine discs before I used theirs.

Brembo groved discs and Yellow stuff pads work well together. The discs being 356mm help aswell.

We did a test EBC TG v Tarox 40g v Black Diamond on a TT 225 last year and they performed surprisingly well.

I wouldn't necessarily argue with the performance, it's more the fact that they will warp if you look at them the wrong way.

Shit quality metal I reckon.

I warped the ones I had on my Corsa GSi years ago, but they were simply too small for the performance of the car.

On the TT test they coped with around 18 (IIRC) beck-to-back 70 (IIRC) to zero stops quite happily - problem was DOT 5.1 fluid boiling rather than the discs/pads being unhappy about it.
