Default n/a ZVH or n/a Zetec

just bought a zetec engine for my 16i that i am going to build up in the next couple of months using twin 45s, but what would be the best option zvh or zetec. The car will be used for the 1/4mile and will be running nitrous aswell. Options please.

Full zetec, if you're going 45's then just get a webber alpha kit and bolt it all in, simple.

I was going to use a webber alpha set up, thats what people seem to recommed, unless anyone knows of a better management system.

i havent really got a budget im working to, as im building it up over a couple of months i can save the money for the expensive parts, im more interested in getting the right bits for the engine to start with.
I was thinking ot throttle bodies but i think i want to stick with the carbs as i already have them and the car wont be used everyday.

i run a 2 litre zvh on twin 45 dcoe in my xr2 with gas flowed and ported head . very quick of the mark ideal for 1/4 mile as the 8 valve engine always acelerates quicky than a 16 valve head which has its gains at highspeed not ideal for the drag strip. i found the conversion easy and cheap

Full zetec or zvh with a highly modded head, go for bike carbs tho, much cheaper than TB`s and still gives good power with reliability over the likes of the 40 DCOES.

not saying it did mate but how much money did that person spend on that engine and was it n/a or turboed. i was just saying in general 8 valve engines are quicker at acelerating unles you spend thousands on a 16 valve with a turbo

Thats one of the reasons i was tempted by the zvh because it acelerates quicker. I was told by a few people that the 8 valve head works better will carbs and i was also told it will take nitrous better than the zetec head but i dont know how true this is, and the other reason is that i already have a stage 3 head on the 1.6 thats already in my car.
