Rubber moulding company wanted for small production run...any idea's?
Want a rubber/plastic's company that can reproduce to a high standard a design (have an original sample ready and waiting to be used as a pattern) and are willing to do small runs, say 30 metres (by 2.5cm wide and 4mm thick) initialy, dependant on sales. Any ideas, based in the UK?
Cheers,
Stu.

iirc from when I spoke to the fella in question, around 4/5yr ago....he made the tooling to make the strips as he needed a set for his own 3dr/500. Think that tooling has paid its self off now
I'll see what I can come up with....its a simple enough profile to copy.

Company called Rayflex on Palatine Industrial Estate in Warrington, used to be next to RC Developments and did that kind of stuff - small enough that they would always consider small jobs but big enough to do the job if that makes sense

They sound abit tricky mate tbh....the 3dr side moulding a just one strip of rubber with a easy profile to replicate and can be made and sold as a big roll as they wouldnt have the metal backing. I'd just have to cut them to correct sizes at the correct angle etc then apply backing tape (ive got a full oe set to use as a pattern for all of this).
Oh for fecks sake...what a dumb ass! Ive just remembered...the missuses old man was Managing director of the Dunlop plant in Shepshed for years before taking early retirement....think it'll make sense to try him as I know he still keeps in touch with them and keeps a finger on the pulse of things.

You know em well then lol...dont suppose you remember Terrence Hunt...he retired around 11yr ago now when he was in his mid 50's, but I know he still keeps in touch with some people there (they even have a walking club for the old management )
