Door check strap looks like it's painted O/S/R trailing arm is bent?? And does it have a Sapphire dash in it??

 

is the rs500 id plate between the electric window switch missing,niuce looking car though

 

that was not a factory fit it was something the RSOC had produced for 500 owners in the club

Reshelled, didn't look quite right 2 me , still a cheap 500 4 some one.

 

How do you work out the arm is bent ? it looks ok to me

and it was ok last time i saw the car

HAVE BEEN TOLD TODAY BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE RS500 REGISTER THE CAR WAS RESHELLED 17 YEARS AGO.

Guess its one way to bid him down...

Yes mate , I told him that the car was reshelled by GGR years ago , but im still happy with the price and am going to look at the car as it is HPI clear ,

He told me what he would take before i told him about the reshell and its a fair price so i will have a look and if its a nice car i will buy it

The car was reshelled by BBR not GGR and its now built on a 89 spec motorsport shell

I saw the original shell and it only had a minor frontal impact, BBR even repaired it and had it in their workshops so its still out there somewhere.

It was on ebay about 3 or 4 years ago still with the standard 3dr bumper that BBR fitted as they could not locate a 500 one at the time of the reshell.

The only reason it was reshelled was the original Jersey based owner did not want a repaired car and preferred a brand new shell to be used instead

Theres a resto thread of the car on here somewhere from a couple of years ago

You are correct , It was BBR , in my excitment i got the wrong 3 letters

 

paul will you lose your job as registrar if you start breaking up 500,s?

 

give Dave Brodie a call he may well still have the original shell, he only wanted £900 for it at the time and he tends to stash things away and it was mint
