Right, this ain't a slagging off thread like the last one degenerated into, so please don't send it that way.
Just think it's sad, whatever anyone's view of her is, that she's now only got months left to live. Twenty seven I think she is, two young kiddies and will likely be dead by the summer.
That isn't nice at all. Like I said, no matter what your views of her she doesn't deserve that. Thoughts are with her and her family right now.

Mate of mine passed away just before New Year due to Cancer. Left behind 2 kids and his Mrs 8 months odd pregnant with the 3rd.
I don't like Jade, but she is making people aware of the problems that can come to anyone. Kids of this day have no idea what could happen to them at anytime, but people will talk for years about Jade and whats happening to her.
Gutting seeing anyone go through this and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Then why post this thread at all. You have to accept that people don't get a free pass and suddenly become saints just because they are "famous" and dying.
Look after your own family first IMO.

erm Is her BF the father? In which case he gets custody anyway. Why the need to be married? Unless of course The Sun is paying for it....

So why does he need to take the children away from their BIOLOGICAL father?
Reverse it. Would you want that situation if your husband/Wife died suddenly?
Thought not.

Dear me. You think its Bitchy? I dont claim to know your situation. But put yourself in the fathers shoes. He's potentially going to lose custody because his ex gets married and makes the children the responsibilty of another adult. But as a woman of course you;ll know the courts always favour the women in these things. Why do you think Father4 Justice exists!
I think the father of the children should raise them. If he deems his ex's BF to be suitable to be around them I'm sure he'll let them. The wedding thing is excessive to me. Designed to pull at heart strings.

And as a woman, i know the courts dont always favour the woman, thats why my father was given custody of me and my brother when we were small, but thats irrelevant anyway to this situation.
I do think the father of the kids should be raising them, BUT i dont see why he shouldnt have a right as their stepfather to help bring them up.
I dont think the wedding thing is excessive OR to pull heart strings tbh, if i was about to die and not married to the man i loved, i know what i would do, and considering if i was dying of cancer, the last thing on my mind is " ooh i wonder who's heart strings i can pull", id be more concerned about my kids welfare.

Im sitting on the fence.
Dont agree with her being so public about it. As for marrying her boyfriend, what a joke, a cry for more pics in the paper/money etc imo...
Unfortunate situation of course - i'm not being nasty or dis-respectful with regards to her illness, its just the way she is conducting herself that gets to me.

does anyone not think that the fact that she is very young and now terminally ill with cancer is the reason for such publicity?
Its not common for someone so young to get cervical cancer that spreads so viciously, she is making people aware of the importance of cervical smears, and rightly so.
Definitely makes us women think about how often we are tested.

Again, yes its unfortunate, and a serious illness, however i disagree with how its all developed in the media.

Testing the future
it's hard not to be anything but cynical and think that she's just doing it for extra publicity and money (whatever good use the money may come to for the kids).
when she dies, will the nation have another ridiculous diana moment?

Other celebrity's have documented there illness and created a book which made for inspiring and very powerful reading. If she had done this then no doubt I would of bought the book and read it compassionately. However, as she is selling it to the tackiest of papers and magazines, and it's being addressed no better than a 'I've lost 5 stone' story, I don't care.
This is my opinion,
Benni.

Chaps - I said I didn't want this thread to end up turning to shit and I meant it. This isn't meant as some fund raising effort or anything of that sort so if you want to start a row or start getting stupid then go elsewhere. I made a personal observation when starting this thread, if you don't agree that's cool but don't turn this to shit.
