Sierra Cosworth 1990 G, what lights and rear middle panel should it have, if any? what side repeaters and what colour front indicators?

Mine has the early dash if that helps?

When was the change over?

Anyone any ideas?

side repeater are orange and front indicators. the rear should be the cars colour in the middle between the lights and the lights should be red white orange etc. not black tint like the later models with a black middle bit behind the number plate. i beleive the change over was 1992.

is it not if its a 2wd or 4x4? i had an early 4x4 on a g that had clears and tints.... reasonably sure they were original.....

could have been on the 4x4's only. the old 4x4 had the 2wd style alloys did'nt they? then they had the sharkteeth ones from 92 onwards. the later dash was more curvy above the clocks and the buttons on the right where different. plus the ecu cover was removed for a cubby hole type of thing and the ecu moved lower down. and i think the rear windows went electric. and the fuel level had numbers on the early model then didnt later on

i think all 4x4 had clear indicators and tinted rear lights,and all cossies have electric windows all round

3drs obviously had no rear elec windows and i think from looking at an old review of the early saphs they had wind down windows.

you sure u do not mean the sunroof?as later cossie's have electric sunroof,all sap cossies have ghia spec which is all 4 electric windows bud

will ask my dad to have a look at the review some time. now i am confused lol. fair one though as they are the top of the range as it were

So 1992 the change over so mine being a 2wd should have the early lights and orange all the way round,

I like the original look, might go on the hunt for some original items,

I take it the items are on all old Sierra Saffs?

I think the lattice to sharktooth wheels happened in the first year of 4x4 so about 1990. Ecu cover thing was pretty early too. Some EURO LHD models had wind-down rear windows and other odd stuff.

All 2wd in standard form had amber side indicators,non tinted rear lights and dont have the number plate surround

depends what year YOURS is tbh as 1987-88-89 Saffs should have orange lights with NO rear number plate surround and 90 specs had clear fronts and dark rears iirc!
