In the rest of Europe the last shape Escort is called the mk7, just not in the UK.

that's not the model of Escort he's on about though is it?
Is that not the UK Mk5, so the European Mk6? Is he not on about the model that had our "Gti" badge added to it, with the different back lights, like this?
