dont need shite ads no one is interested in, everyone has google at there finger tips, so they can just use google home page or search bar and look for what they want not have these shitty ads everywhere ruining the site

I get the feeling a big reasoning for us going to this new bulletin board was to incorporate the advertisements. I am probably wrong though. I don't like them myself.

At the end of the day IB is a business and needs to generate revenue.
Online Advertising is a massive market google's income proves this

I understand the reasoning behind the adverts, but the shitty Google ones are in one of the most annoying places possible, making reading threads and using this forum very awkward imo!
Why not just make do with the other 3 or 4 adverts which are located at the top and bottom of each page?

using mozilla so dont see adverts, but just leaves a blank block down the side of the screen and looks like the sites buggered.. voted to reposition them

What's the big deal? It's what IB do - own big websites and sell ads on those websites.
Can't see the issue with them, it's not like PF is the only place on the internet with ads!! If they were pop-ups or those stupid ones that say "yahooo" then I'd complain, but I don't even notice them now.

IB are always going to need to advertise.... thats how they make their money from the site and theres absolutely nothing we will ever be able to do about that!!
But..... i dont think this should be at the expense of the site layout... i have therefore voted for them to be repositioned somehow as i believe this is the only realistic option!!
