Default HPI problem, help!

Ive purchased (left deposit) a car thats just had a private plate taken off (like today)

I've HPI checked the OLD plate and its come up with a problem but it seems its a problem with the plate NOT the VIN, does this make sense? should i be bothered? should i not get car?

Vehicle Condition
Condition alert
VRM recorded as a 'total loss' by insurers

Condition inspected
VRM and VIN not recorded as a repaired insurance 'total loss'

Help please!

You want a full explanation from the seller before parting with anymore cash! Never leave a deposit always get a receipt for a part payment then you are entitled to a refund if the deal goes pete tong. There used to be a loophole to get cars off the register by exporting them to Ireland that was closed some years back. What car/year is it?

just hpi check the vin not the reg

if it comes back clear its the plate.

Problem is it puts people off in the future when they are too thick to understand what youre saying to them

I hqad the same problem with my private plate on my skyline, sold the car but got no end of abuse after he done a hpi check due to him being such a cock and not understanding how to read a hpi report.

If the cars cheap and not gonna be worth a lot when you sell it then buy it

If it was 20k id walk away
