Fookin bloke winds me up, even when he's not PM. There was a prog the other night, were he was interveiwed about his bit on comic relief (Katherine Tate sketch), and I just wanted to jump up and punch the TV!

In his defence, at least hes not Gordon Brown.

The vast majority of Europe ignores a lot of the rules they don't like. Germany and France on immigration labour being one. Labour are seemingly too ignorant to follow their lead.

Lets also cut all our trade with Europe too 
I have Freinds from most major EU countrys and i think all being part of one club is create. And the ONLY thing we can do to have a major economic say with the likes of the other big economic powers. (though not saying EU is without flaws, just better work to combate them than throw in the towel).
But no lets leave Europe, become a tiny back water and get fucked even more. Lets go you clever lot

I'm not surpriesed a Welsh man thinks the Eu is great. you get to have pavements now.
The problem with the EU is the idea behind it has been pulled sideways. If it had just remained England, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Swiss, Poles and the little countries in between it would have been fine. But it got so big ( why the hell is Turkey in the EU!) that it became something for smaller (economically screwed) countries to aim for so they get the wealth spread out.
Fundamentally the major nations lose out as a result of. Maybe its time for the Eu to be divided up into Classes based on economic/soceity lines. Like lots of little groups. Call them some like "Countries" or more seriosuly just have teh rules set my majority of power. So Us the Germans.Italians and French get to decide how to spend the money for our benefits. Not proping up countries in Eastern Europe.

A lot of the European countrys do not want Turkey in the EU some politcal/religous and other economic reasons. The UK is the one calling for them to join. Be it like it or not, its a massive market which would do business with easier but then has other problems too. Smaller poorer countrys joinng may not like, but i think sort term pain will be outwieghed by longe term gain. Lots of problems as said above but much better being in that out.

Show me tangible gains to the UK from having these stupid litle countries joining? Do we trade with them? If so how does that change when they join the Euro? Apart from the fact they can undecut our business'

Have got cheap labour for them in times of boom filling jobs otherwise not there. Now they are going home as recession takes hold. But tbh adding to the economic power house of the EU is a good thing.
The whole Turkey thing, well it is a strange one. I dont know what i think tbh, from a purley business point of view i think its a good thing. But poltical and whole European project "thing" im not so sure if i'm honest.

Turkey is NOT even in Europe. There is a small section of Turkey that is in Europe but the sheer majority is classed as Asia.They are trying to get into the EU basing their argument on the very small part of their country that is in Europe - just. Turkey joining would just mean bad news for us & Germany at least.
Could Spain join the African Union because the Canary Islands are African islands? Could they fuck!
We should leave the EU & instead have a free trade agreement with the major nations such as France, Germany, Switzerland (even though they are not in the EU) etc...
The only good thing that I can see about the EU is that I can easily move to Finland when I'm older

Haighlsby UK cannot have a free trade with Germany, France etc. As condition of the EU is you have no trade agrement outside etc. Plus i very much dought they would if they could anyway.

It's all just the slow painful path to centralisation. It'll be central European and with one bank, one government and one army whats left? you lose work ethic, patriotism and anyone to fight!
All just for control thats it. Turkey won't join the EU until the US have had their way with Iran and maybe Russia. Americans have been equipping Turkey now for years, 'gave' them 20 F22 jets recently...
Funny how the one country left within vicinity with an obligatory land army still hasn't joined the control of the EU? pretty uselful asset for the Yanks Geographically too eh?

I cant help but think that Blair as the President of a United States of Europe along with the magical recovery plan thats fashioned to rescue us from economic & political disorder(yet to come) will be the carrot thats dangled that may well see's us giving up our soverenty as a nation along with God knows what else to Europe.

rhy's your a pretty open minded guy so how about this were booming in the builiding sector last year and year before we get influx of people to help out right they get there money and when things turn shit they run off not bailing the country out but will take from it!!
