I had a threatening letter about one from Europark in a Sainsburys for a reg number I have but wasn't using the car, returned it with an explanation, nothing heard.
Then a ticket on my work van, last November, again in a Sainsbury, overstayed my welcome, but did nothing and nothing heard

looking them up on net there cowboys, its a civil matter, they say a fine but its effectively a invoice, they havent a leg to stand on cannot send bailiffs etc unless they put you up infront of court, which aparantly they never ever do, but they have some nasty letters and pretend to off passed the debt on etc no wonder mot people pay up, advice is to sit tight swallow all the incredibly nasty strict letters and say nothing to them

Then go frantically looking for it when some tin-pot Debt Collection Agency is kicking your door in.
You need to be very careful with this one as it could end up with some Debt Collection Agency and become a large sum of money and a shit load of hassle
Pop back into the shop, speak to the manager and inform him/her that they will not get another penny of your money if this is enforced, play on the fact you have been a loyal customer for years and you dont expect bully boy tactics when you are coming to them to spend money.
What they are trying to stop is tossers using Supermarket car parks as a way of avoiding parking charges around the town.
Legally they are entitled to follow this up as you were parked on private land, their land, and you have ignored their rules, just like when people get clamped for parking on what they think is waste ground.

20K+ Super Poster.
It also pisses me off when I park in a disabled bay, then get abuse from OLD PEOPLE, saying "you're not disabled, you can see that", even though my badge is dispalyed, and I offer to show them the photo on it is me.
It pisses the disabled off that TESCO in(some) stores always put nearest the store not disabled but mother and toddlers, all because they spend more I suppose.

as its private land it is a civil matter, so the only court you could attend would be one they ask for, which they wont, so basicly no bailiffs etc can come after you, however you will get nasty letters as i say, theres a forum about it all here
http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...e-70-euro.html
of course if court paperwork arrives you pay, but no one has been sent to court, they try and try and try then give up move on to next sucker, as you can guess prog a good 75% pay up on the first or second letter

Why the fuck do a lot of school run parents get away with it then???? The feds could make a killing putting the wardens outside local schools at closing time and issuing everyone a 3 points etc for stopping. That would teach all them school run parents a lesson!!!!
But i geuss that would be "non-PC" and we cant be seen to targetting those "innocent" parents can we??
Yet some bellend copper issued a ticket at 10pm!!!!
The law isnt flexible just to keep happy "priority" persons etc so if they want to do someone at 10pm then they have to do ALL school run parents too

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
If there is a penalty scheme operating there has to be signs explaining the conditions but a lot of these parking enforcement companys operate completely outside the law so should be questioned and challenged every step of the way, check out these robbing bastards

Just found this through the link to the consumer website that was posted and I bet it would have clamping/towing muppets scratching their heads
"I overstayed in a Morrison's car park in Peckhan S London and received a fine of £40 if I paid within 14 days. I waited until I received a reminder then I wrote to the parking enforcement company (called parking eye). Stating that under constitutional law they are breaking the law by demanding money from me before any court conviction (bill of rights 1689) and any claim they had would be null and void as they had demanded monies from me.
As they had written to me twice I had to advise them of the terms and conditions of writing to me, which are thus:
I will accept two free letters but any third letter received; would trigger the acceptance of the fact that they would have to pay me an admin fee of £50 per letter, but the third letter would also be a free letter unless I received a fourth letter related to this matter. In which case I would have to charge for ALL four letters. I would invoice them and request payment within 7 days otherwise court action would follow on the 8th day. The terms are fair under the Unfair terms Act 1999 as this is for my time and expenses. Any fifth letter would trigger a harassment action under the 1997 Protection from Harassment Act, which I would be entitled to claim £5,000 in damages for mental anguish.
Funnily enough every time I get a ticket and a reminder, I NEVER receive a third letter, as they (parking agents/councils) are really concerned that I would go for it."

Should do as you said, zigzags are there for a reason, to protect these stupid womens children....
Do a few of them, and you know how women like to talk

sneeky fookin coonts too
if you go to the www.eurocarparks.co.uk website there a bit were you can enter in your ticket details, it brings up a £30 fine
but then i started trying different tcket numbers by changing last digit etc and funny the ticket came up todays date with a £30 fine, i bet even if the system has no recollection it also still charges you as they willo be waiting for the stubb form the carpark warden blokey
so then everyone sees the £30 thins result and pays
slimey coonts
look
http://www.eurocarparks.co.uk/charges-pcn.htm
just enter in the ticket number like the one on the display ticket on there picture, then change last digit or another digit etc
or even make up a 7 digit number
