If he didnt display such a lack of ambition and as much greed as he did moving to LA Galaxy i'd agree.

He can redeem himself by moving to AC Milan permanently. I wish every England player tried as hard as he does when he plays

He's quality. No doubt.

As for showing no ambition by going to LA Galaxy, would you turn down $2m a month or whatever he's getting? Good business on his part imo.

Hope he stays at AC though, looks good there.

Ive always been amazed at his work rate off the ball.
I must cover more ground than any other player on pitch.

Mans a star & I'm glad he's at A.C. proving he can still do it.

If I was as rich as him before he went then yes, i'd have definitley turned down the cash and played out my career at a top club in Europe......even he is recognising it as a mistake and is trying to engineer a move to AC Milan so why cant you?

As said, tremendous player in the right set-up and wished other players were as proud to play for England

i think it all went wrong when he got caught up in the spice girl whirlwind

without her he would have been thought of as much less of a primadonna

obviosluy he can't boot the bint out as she's going to fuck him over for billions, but i think that's what her original plans were in any case

she reminds me of one of them get smashed aliens

I dont think he would have gone over there in the first place, if the thought he was going to be playing for England again.

Moving over there was the correct thing for him to do at the time, now it isnt the right place for him to be and he admits that.

Its his job matey you go where the money is you cant spend ambition, hes made his bucks in the States so may well now try Italy. He needs to redeem nothing to anyone, hes still one of the biggest draws in Football & still good enough to do a job for England. .

Well in the eys of fans who think he's greedy then yes he will redeem himself

He doesnt need to because he has done what he pleases sucessfully all his life

The point I made about the USA - and i'm not the only person ever to make it, is that he didnt NEED to go for the money as he was rich beyond most peoples dreams anyway, and had more than enough for his family for the rest of his life. So IMO and that of many others his greed outgrew his ambition and that has slightly tainted our view of one of Englands finset footballers. The redemption at AC Milan would be fantastic for all of us if it happens!

Lets face it Rod if you were him and you were 75 and sitting down with your grandkids telling tham about your life, would you say, yeah, I was a multi millionaire and one of the richest sportsmen in the world so I gave up on my England Career and chased after as much money as possible athough I didnt really neeed it

OR

I thought stuff it, i'm still good enough to play at the very top of World Class football and I made people sit up and take notice of me in Serie A, one of the best leagues in the world.

You cant buy pride.

he needs to play with decent world class players, not n the minor leagues in a country where it's not even a major sport
