i am thinking of stripping and scrapping my rs as it failed the mot and the welding that puts me off the most are the chassi legs and roof so i want to reshell onto a bonus shell or something similar. can i keep the id off my turbo and use it?

 

nope i id is registered to a perticular shell so if you do that your creating a ringer and that would be illegal you can reshell it into a bonus or something but it would then become a look a like as you would need to use the id off the shell you use

but look in the parts for sale as there is a guy selling his rst shell so you could re shell it into a true rst shell it would have a different id but it would still be a true rst

Technically classed as ringing, goes on alot more than some people may think.

 

depends on if you cut the floor number out and weld / flush it in properly

 

cheers for that, will just lkeep the id for memory then. only thing is i want a non sun roof shell as thats one thing that killed my rs and the only rs shell that i seen on here no sunroof is scunthorpe and im from baldock... bit too far i think lol

as far as a look a like..yes a look a like but running every rst part from my turbo so long as tis solid i dont think look a like will bother me
