Default Plasma TV fault...help

I have a LG 42PC1D 42 in. plasma. Had it 2 years and it has started to have problems switching on.

When it is powered up the relays click and picture tries to come on, grey colour screen, then it switches off again and repeats this over and over again.

At first it did it now and again and came on within a few minutes. Now it can take hours to come on.

I,ve been told it could be power supply unit but my local tv repairers are useless and its come back no better than before.

Anyone know for sure what it is or better still repair it for me. Its doing my head in. Today its been trying to switch on since 7 this morning and is still clicking away.
