cheapest weekly shop?
In these tough times I was wondering which of the big supermarkets in your experience is cheapest for your weekly shop - excluding the budget aldi, netto etc.
We used to do asda, then tesco started sending loads of vouchers for £6-10 off each shop - which I thought probably made a shop there as cheap as Asda. But since then they've stopped sending...... but we carried on shopping there, playing right into the marketing bods hands lol.
But then I did a typical shop at asda this week and I'm certain it was about 10% cheaper. Obviously its hard to compare exactly as you dont buy all the same stuff each week but thats comparing a like-sized weekly shop.
Problem is of course you gotta know what to buy and what not to at asda as some of it is dire lol. Mind you not everything at tesco is wonderful.

We used to use morrisons, then went onto tesco as we find its around the same price for a weekly shop or sometimes abit less, upside of it is that tesco's food seem to be nicer, like the fresh bread/cakes etc, some of morrisons is horrible and dry.
They both do the points card thing and petrol points etc
We dont have an asda near by

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
what you have to is shop around, scuse pun, where i live we have a waitrose, lidl, iceland all within walking distance with a tesco five mins by car, there will be good deals in each shop plus bogof offers too,try shopping late in the day when meat/fish is reduced too...
you may have to walk about abit but you will save, every £ i save is more juice in the car...........

I go to Sainburys and they're surprisingly reasonable. For example them Muller probiotic things are 99p, which is the same as Lidl.
And the best bit is their economy range is better than Asda's best range.

Used to use the Co-Op near my old house, their stuff was always good, and it was a great trade off between having to travel too far and pay good prices.
use Aldi now, its about 3 minute walk, very impressed with em!

fuck sainburys, its fucking expensive, Morrisons is ok for fuit and not much else. Tesco is a nice all round option. Must admit ASDA is good for price and goods, but the one near us is fucking ram packed full of fucking pikys and after a shop there I am looking to buy a AK47 to fucking wipe out the whole fucking store of window lickers.
