I was involved in a "roadrage incident" tonight
I was involved in a "roadrage incident" tonight.
Where I pull out of my work carpark, the raod is 3 lanes, 2 going the way im going as I turn right out of the car park, and 1 coming the other way.
The left lane goes straight on, the right line is marked as straight on or right but 50 yards down the road its a set of lights and immediately after the right line filters into the left lane, so basically everyone going straight on all uses the left lane.
I was going to turn right at the lights, so I pulled out of my car park, indicating right to join the traffic, and the queue in the left lane went past where I was, so I pulled straight into the right lane, at which point as I straightened the wheel my indicator clicked off, about 30 yards from the right turn at the lights.
As I get up to it, I notice another car has pulled around all the cars in the left lane and is screaming up behind me, so I indicate right to let him know im going to turn right, he decides that Ive left it too late to indicate right, as this now means he has to sit in a queue rather than just fly past everyone and cut them up at the filter like he was planning, so he leans on the horn and shouts something out of his drivers window.
I decide that because of his behaviour, that rather than edge across into the oncoming traffic slightly to let him pass on my left (quite wide lanes so safe to do so by a couple of foot) and what i would normally do, I wont bother I'll just wait till the oncoming lights turn red and I am safe to turn all the way across rather than doing him a favour and making space for him.
He then has to wait while all the people he just overtook in the hope he could cut them all up, all filter pass him on the left lane.
Then when its clear for him to go, instead of going past he pulls up alongside my car and starts shouting at me that I should learn to use my fucking indicators and I cant drive and im a cunt etc, I take little notice so he steps out of the car and stands next to my passenger side and carries on shouting and swearing at me (in the middle of a busy junction with his car blocking the road so no one can go anywhere at all).
I wind down the window on the passenger side and he leans forward and starts shouting at me telling to get out the fucking car cause ive got a fucking smack in the mouth coming to me.
So I calmly reply "certainly sir" and open my car door, step out, and walk around the back of my car so Im no stood right next to him, so close im basically in his "personal space" next to the passenger side of my car.
As I stand right next to him I calmly say "so what would you like to happen now then sir?", he's dressed like a bit of a wideboy, lots of jewelley mid 20s, he's 5'8 or so, bit of a pretty boy, about 12 stone probably, im not exactly huge but am a fair bit bigger than him, im 6 foot tall, skinhead, ugly and 16 stone or so wearing a padded black rallycross fleece.
He sort of stutters a bit and then says "err, why did you call me sir, you saying your a copper?"
I reply "Ive not said anything about being a police officer, you asked me to get out of my car and come over to you so I have, so now what do you want to happen?"
He is twitching away with stress and anger like he wants to just fly off but doesnt actually swing for me, he starts getting all sketchy and nervous, presumably cause he's just realised that shouting at me obviously isnt going to work as im stood there completely calm in front of him (well towering over him essentially as im stood so close the 4" or so height difference is particuarly obvious) blatantly not in the slightest bit scared of him and he really doenst know what to do and is probably thinking he is either about to get beaten up or possibly arrested based on his copper comment where he's all freaked out by me being totally calm and referring to him as sir.
He steps back look a bit sheepish and says "I suppose we'd better get back in our cars and i'll fuck off then?"
I reply "I think that would be in your best interests yes" and walk back round and get in my car, just as the lights turn red again, so I turn right and he sits at the red light looking a bit confused.
Guess that will be the last time he asks someone to step out of their car for a while, he really didnt expect it to actually happen, took him right out of his comfort zone, LOL

Probably what most folk would like to think they'd do, and fair play.
I'd like to think i'd do it myself but since getting married and realising my safety doesnt just affect me, i'm probably too worried about getting stabbed etc.

Had someone try to cut in where road went from 2 to 1 when towing on a bar that was about 2 foot long, how could he think car wasn't being towed being that close...

haha quality.
Mate of mine was on the way to work with his misses, trying to edge out if a junction, some bloke comes screaming down the road, slams all on (no need, as Lee hadn't blocked the road and wasn't moving and the guy had plenty of time to see him).
As he goes past he gives it the w**ker sign at my mate, who decides to follow him.
At a set of lights, my mate dives out the car and tries to get the blokes van drivers door open (calm bloke but had lost it). Apparently the bloke started screaming "no please mate, sorry sorry" in front of his own misses who was in the van lol!!!
My mate said the bloke looked such a tool he left him to it,

Good work.
People get the hump with my driving all the time but I tend to just wave and carry on.
One time I hit the ABS on the motorway when some guy flashed me repeatedly for passing him at speed. Full ABS from a tonne, and straight on to the hard shoulder. He stopped too and it turned out he was an off duty traffic cop, had seen me passing him on his way to work day after day at speed and just wanted to lecture me, so I listened to his piece. Nodded and then left at WOT till the speed limiter kicked in now that he made me late...
