why do posts moved to the policy room not show up on a search for that user name?

Is the policy room gold members only? If so wont show up to you...

If its open to everyone, I'm unsure...

How do you search PGT? I clicked on your username, went to your profile and clicked "find all threads started by PGT" and they showed up for me?

Other than that I dont know.

well the list of forums to conduct a search on does not include the policy room so presumably i a search is not meant to find threads that are there (or more specifically in this case - moved there!).

if you want to check this try searching for threads by l8 ecu (which is where this issue arose) and the results list does not include any of Simons posts from today other than from GD forum. in fact he started 4 or 5 threads today which may have started in gd and then got moved or were actually started there in the fisrt place.

PGT is right.

But, if you view a users posts from their profile the posts in P&P do show up.

No idea mate.
If you want to find posts by a user, the best way is to do so from that users profile as Punkie says.
