Question ford focus mk1 brake light problem? UPDATE PICTURES 28-1

got a small problem with a mates focus, when he pushes the brake pedal to stop, every now and the the handbrake light comes on, ive got my ideas what it is, i just want to see your views.

its a focus 1.6 zetec 1999!

You mean the Handbrake / LOW FLUID light comes on.

Brake /Clutch (combined) fluid is low.

Either the Front pads are getting low or the clutch master or slave cylinder has started leaking.

where is the cylinder located on these motors?

Master cylinder is on the top of the clutch pedal, they'll be fluid dripping down the pedal if it's that.

Clutch slave is inside the bell-housing, gearbox out job, fluid dripping out the bottom of the box if it's that.

cool mate, just hope the brake fluid is low or pads are low

forgot to mention its automatic, no cluth pedal

just found this leak guys on the brake pedal, but the pedal is not wet in fluid and the carpet is not wet either. looks like the master cylinder then.

the brake fluid was very low below minimum but not much has leaked though! ive looked at the brake servo from the outside and nothing is leaking there.
